Pandemonium struck in Cross River State at the weekend when a big black snake was discovered at the official residence of the Deputy Governor of the state, Efiok Cobham.
According to Daily Trust report, a Boa constrictor showed up from no where at the palatial estate of the deputy governor which sent all the guests and dignitaries invited for a reception being held in honour of the deputy governor’s chief press secretary, Effiong Okon, into disarray.
One of the witnesses of the incident informed that the big black snake rolled through the lush green grass at the estate into the venue of the reception which led all invitees, domestic staff, government officials and security operatives scampered for their dear lives.
It was gathered that it took some youths and brave guests at the event to pursue the uninvited guest from the scene of the occasion.
Meanwhile, it was disclosed that before the reception could continue, the deputy governor had to apologise to his guests for the embarrassment and urged them to stay calm.
